Gracewood is my home. Ten little acres high in the Selkirk Range of the Rockies. I live here with my husband, Terry, who is a very talented artist. We share our life with all of the wildlife that frequents our part of the forest.
Over the years I’ve enjoyed cross stitching, not only to stitch some lovely items, but I find it a most therapeutic and calming activity. In the last few years I began thinking I would like to try to capture some of my inspirations as patterns. Though I am not very computer savvy I started looking at design software and decided to give designing a try. It was a lot easier than I had anticipated and to my amazement other people have also liked my designs and enjoyed stitching my patterns.
I blog about each new design, from its inspiration through its stitching. I hope you’ll come along with me on this journey of designing cross stitch as artful craft
